Happy New Year

As winter comes in the form of a blanket, its' soft white crisp snow envelopes us, quiets us, and slows us down.............then after it surrounds us with comfort and beauty it reinvigorates us with joy, wonder, energy, and excitement!

As I bundle up and venture out to care for our beloved horses, barn kitties and to shovel mounds of snow I get so excited about the beauty, freshness and new beginnings that have just arrived. With each new day, with each new season; an opportunity unfolds to start anew.

Take in big, long, deep breaths, think of new possibilities, dream new dreams, take time to visit with God, cherish and spend time cultivating memories with family and friends. Be creative, be productive and be bold to make a difference! As we start a new year, may we all take time to reflect, be encouraged and have compassion and forgiveness for our mistakes and shortcomings in ourselves and others. Then cozy up in that blanket in front of the fire for a while before we begin the journey again, with more kindness in our hearts towards our neighbors, more tenderness and respect for nature and every living creature and healthy balanced goals for ourselves! Here's to 2010! May you be the person that you were intended to be. Don't look back with regrets but look at lessons learned: don't look at the media, magazines and what the world says..........but look within......you're beautiful. Look up, He's incredible and he knows what's best for you. Be still, to gain greater perspective and be refreshed. Then forge ahead, make a pact with yourself to have a ground breaking, spread those wings and fly, new year! Fill it with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Happy New Year! Give thanks, create and enjoy!

Love from the farm, Farmgirl Kelly
