I need people in my life to laugh with, learn from, share with and lift each other up when we fall down! I need encouragement and I need to encourage others! I need to bounce ideas off others and hear what others want to bounce around also! Community! A meaningful life is all about community! I want to bring a little bit of Heaven to everyone's earth! "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven!" (Jesus from Mathew 6:10) Loving God and each other ~ sharing experiences together is what lends purpose and meaning to life!
I wasn't meant to do this journey alone, to be the Lone Ranger ~ it's much more fun to ride to the top of the mountain and watch a beautiful sunset with someone, as opposed to watching the sunset all alone!
I have learned that the best part of life on this Earth is relationships: making memories, and experiences shared; some incredible and some difficult, but all are necessary to our learning, growing and living. A rewarding life is about the people with whom I share these experiences that make up our lives, stories and souls!
As I reflect on the past year, anticipate and look towards the new year, I want to pray more, plan more experiences with others; laughing, loving, growing, encouraging and cultivating relationships, both old and new!
I'm going to take some painting and sewing classes starting in January and who knows what will become of it! But ~ what I do know is that I set some goals to try something new. I'm going to meet new people, try new things, follow thru and see where the road leads! Yes, I NEED PEOPLE, and people need me, and together it becomes "we". What a wonderful start to a New Year! I'm excited and I know that I am not alone. When we live outside of ourselves, investing in the lives of others, we experience real beauty and genuine growth. May you explore some new adventures, make new friends, experience gorgeous sunsets, and discover more about who you were intended to be!
Just think about the incredible power in People, working together, making a difference for the greater, greener, good. Do good, think good, live and love good always!
I do not want to settle for safe, easy, and a predictable terrain! I want to live a life full of adventure; shared and experienced with people; riding to the top of that mountain and watching the most beautiful of sunsets together!
As my Grandma Elsie always said "Do unto others as you would like done unto you." Even if it is with your dogs!
Musings from the farm!
A very Happy New Year to you! Cheers! Kelly
